Growing in Faith Together
Youth and Family Programs
Our ministry focuses on nurturing faith at every age:
- Sunday School programs for all ages
- Youth group activities and service projects
- Family ministry events throughout the year
- Vacation Bible School during summer
- Confirmation classes for young teens
St. Peter School
St. Peter School focuses on core knowledge in literacy, mathematics, language, cognitive processes, science, and gross and fine motor skills, as set forth by the Texas Education Agency.
St. Peter School also has a religion lesson each day. Children follow a daily routine that consists of indoor/outdoor activities, group/individual time, and child-selected/teacher-selected activities. The curriculum at the early childhood level is built around changing themes related to the child’s everyday world.
St. Peter School instills Christian teachings, attitudes, and principles. We believe in positive reinforcement and positive redirection in a warm and respectful manner.

Lutheran Beliefs and Practices
As a member of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS), we hold to:

- Grace alone as the means of salvation
- Faith alone as the way we receive God's grace
- Christ alone as our savior and redeemer
Our worship services reflect these beliefs while remaining accessible to newcomers. Whether you're a lifelong Lutheran or exploring faith for the first time, you'll find clear explanations and friendly faces ready to guide you.
The Power of Church Community in Modern Life
In our increasingly digital world, genuine human connections have become more valuable than ever. Regular church attendance provides essential community benefits that extend far beyond Sunday morning services. At St. Peter Church and School, we've seen how active participation in church life transforms individuals and families:
1. Meaningful Social Connections
Church attendance creates natural opportunities for deep, lasting friendships. Unlike casual social media connections, these relationships are built on shared values and regular face-to-face interactions. Our members often share how weekly worship, study groups, and fellowship events have helped them build their closest friendships.
2. Support During Life's Transitions
Whether celebrating new beginnings or navigating challenges, your church community stands with you. From welcoming new babies to supporting families during illness or loss, our congregation provides practical and emotional support when you need it most. We've seen countless examples of members cooking meals for new parents, helping families move, or simply being present during difficult times.
3. Strengthening Family Bonds
Regular church attendance gives families structured time to connect and grow together. Our multi-generational community provides:
- Positive role models for children and teens
- Shared family experiences and traditions
- Opportunities for family service projects
- Regular time for family discussions about values and beliefs
- Cross-generational mentoring relationships
4. Professional and Personal Networks
Our diverse congregation includes members from various professional backgrounds, creating natural networking opportunities. Many of our members have found job opportunities, professional mentors, or trusted service providers through their church connections.
5. Mental Health and Well-being
Studies consistently show that regular church attendance correlates with improved mental health outcomes. The routine of weekly worship, combined with strong social support and opportunities for meaningful service, provides stability and purpose in our often-chaotic world.
